I watched the entire series on 11/27/24. I remembered the incident back in the 70's and was most surprised that the story was brought back to the TV screen over 30 years later. This was an excellent production and appears to be historically accurate. Although some of us remember the incident, it was the heart-breaking details that had the greatest impact for me. Anna Mae's family history was a critical part of the story, and getting to know her family in this documentary was gratifying, to say the least. I don't know what her legacy is in the Native community, but to me, she is one of those unknown heroes that most people never hear about. I hope this production brings greater recognition to her tragic story.
