It's day two and I'm already starting episode 5 of "Las Azules". From the start of episode 1 it was captivating and striking. I appreciate this drama especially as it gives us a historical and socio-political view in to what was happening in Mexico City during the 70's. Good music choices. I took a course on Modern Mexico over the summer and it really opened my eyes on some of the events that happened during the 60's/70's, how tough it was for individuals who tried challenging the status quo for students and for those in the medical field. This film highlights how women were breaking the societal standards of their time. Inspires me to deepen my understanding of Mexico's past.
