This tv theatre illustrates the very fundamentals of wife-husband interaction. On the surface the roles might come across as somewhat outdated, but the storytelling strikes a chord of timeless nature - what it means to be man and woman, our instincts which naturally alienate us from one another until we overcome them.
The acting is sublime. The characters come to life as instant multi layer relatable human beings. The plot is presented in real time, which is accentuated by a slow "intro" where the wife walks about the apartment waiting for her husband. The psychology between the two plays out slowly and it's almost breathtaking in its simplicity.
