This show is literally so adorable. It's a great palate cleanser without a ton of action or high-intensity scenes; just the blossoming and unfolding of a cute and wholesome high school romance. They made the right choice to keep it at 8 episodes that were about 24 minutes each. Any longer and I feel like it would have gotten too tedious, repetitive, and boring to watch.
It can be a bit cheesy and maybe even cringy at times, but the overwhelming cuteness of the relationship between Takara and Amagi overshadows those moments. The writers and actors both did an incredible job figuring out how to accurately portray many high school romances as well. There are so many moments of miscommunication that could be solved so easily. Some viewer may find that it makes the show unenjoyable, but as infuriating as it could be, it feels very accurate and appropriate for the age range being shown.
Overall, I loved this show. I thought it was so sweet and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something lighthearted and laid-back.

This show was so hard to follow. I don't know if it's just me but I had no idea what was happening half of the time because it would cut to a new scene that had absolutely nothing to do with the scene before with absolutely no context. Even the ending was so anticlimactic and I can't even remember the general order of events. Everything was just insanely discombobulated and felt incredibly random.
I'm usually pretty generous when giving reviews (I don't think I've ever given a show or movie a one star before now) but this one was just so...disappointing.
I try not to put down acting skills but it's impossible to ignore the fact that the acting and dialogue in this show were absolutely horrendous. The camerawork wasn't much better.
I honestly don't even know how I managed to get through the whole show (probably out of spite) but I highly recommend saving yourself time and disappointment and skipping this one.
