Intially, hearing this name I thought of the poop character from South Park. So I came in this viewing thinking that this film would be some play off of this character, to my surprise I was welcomed with this hilarious comedy duo. Watching this felt like living in a nightmare with Micheals horrible luck. It might be my own personal attention span, but I found the movie going really slow and just repetitive while he was on the run. I also am a sucker for love so I really enjoyed the chemistry Micheal and Kate had, it felt very authentic and they riffed well of each other. Overall, this film was very lighthearted and its charm lies in its' performance defenitely.
Surprisngly this was my first time watching this movie, but it definetly didn't dissapoint. I hear about it so much in the media and I was even Jennifer for Halloween, but I never saw it. To me this movie was a beautiful represneation of teen girlhood and the troubles that arrise when boys get in the picture. Obviously we don't all have a friend how eats boys, but to me its a metaphor. Watching Needy and Jennifers relationship become rocky throughout the film because of jealousy was so refreshing to see, but its real! This is the perfect 2000's film, from it's fashion and it's cringy but funny dialougue. This feminist icon film can be recommended to anyone because of how many themes it covers.
