Loved the first movie; it was unexpectedly great. This one was just mediocre. The action and fight scenes were pretty good and fun to watch. The story line could have been better, but the absolutely terrible acting from Sharon Stone, in all honesty, completely ruined the entire movie for me. I'm not sure if they were looking for a surprise big name for this role, but they completely missed the mark on casting.
I want to preface this by saying I love Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, but this movie was terrible. I was really intrigued and excited to see the movie, as the trailer led me to believe this was going to be a twisty, mind-bending psychological thriller. Boy was I wrong. One super long, unnecessary, pretentious commercial for The Weeknd with a bunch of tears and pyromania.
Found it strange and really distracting he played himself and 99 percent of the music in the movie was his own. Also, playing a music video advertising his new album before the movie was completely classless. Pointless and boring.
