This is a very different Superman than I am used to and he's rather wimpy. Maybe he's the Superman that today's youth wants or needs but he's not mine. Weirdly executed. Funny where it doesn't work or need to be. Characters are absurd caricatures, the dog is a distraction, and Superman is just a no for me.
Such a wonderful movie! This is great on multiple levels, as a good kid's movie should be!
This is one of the few movies (maybe the only) that really does a lovely job of expressing the weirdness of being a tween! I teach this age of kids and the accuracy of much of this dialogue and the situations that worry them is great.
This movie was the perfect combination of heart and comedy. It never got too heavy, but it never got too silly either. Brilliant role for both Adam Sandler and Bill Burr.
The other thing that cracks me up (and I have laughed about it for days now) is the portrayal of the kindergarteners. I have never seen any more accurate representation! Obviously, some of the animators did their homework!
This is a MUST watch for everyone who even remotely remembers what it was like to be a kid.

If I wanted to watch a movie about how teens just aren't being valued and listened to enough, I would have. Instead, I got this steaming pile of kids and manbabies acting stupid so that a big baddie can come back an threaten New York, again.
The last movie was lovely for its nostalgia factor, but this is too much of the touchy-feely bull that apparently later generations insist upon. It is not entertaining and misses the mark on just about every level. There is not enough of THE Ghostbusters to work on a nostalgic level. There is too much "emotional damage" plot to be interesting to a real action-comedy audience.
Not sorry I watched it because I would have always been curious, but it wasn't good.
