  • Brilliant in terms of visuals and design but fell short on the story

Shogun is based on some historical elements such as John Blackthorne, Tokugawa Ieyasu, and the Edo Period of Japan.

7/10 = Writing: The characters were very likable and each had their own quirks and personalities. The writing was quite interesting and the politics reminded me quite a bit of GOT The flaw lies in the pacing and the plotline of the story, it had too many road bumps with inconsistencies relating to its pacing and where it was going. Honestly for a historical taking place during Edo Japan it had very minimal action though the writing was quite poetic and well written.

9.2/10 = Visuals: Set scenes were designed and portrayed. Choreography was pretty good also with great acting by the actors

8.8/10 = Sounds: The music is fantastic really matches the atmosphere and vibes.

    Its was an enjoyable series

Rewind Worthy?: Maybe Memorability?: A bit.

  • Fast paced and action packed but not quite enough to stick the landing

Based on the civil war of Sierra Leone that tore a country apart, the film tries to do too many things in too little time whilst showing some reality of the war and what it cost but moves ahead too fast to have truly deep emotional impact.

6.5/10 = Writing: The characters were very likable and each had their own quirks and personalities. The flaws lie in the plot with too much action and too fast of a pacing with little dialogue between characters that have emotional depth and meaning. Since it was plot driven the characters already had their destiny written from the very beginning knowing what they were suppose to do, etc.

7.5/10 = Visuals: Set scenes were designed and portrayed. Cinema trophy was pretty good also with great acting by the actors

7/10 = Sounds: Good nothing deep.

Its was sort of an enjoyable movie.

    Rewind Worthy?: No Memorability?: No.

  • A different side of a galaxy far far away and a long time ago

Unlike most Star Wars media with jedis and siths this Star Wars show touches on the more ordinary lives of people of Star Wars, the politics, the secrecy, the crime, espionage, etc. Truth be told the one thing I found shocking was the complete lack of aliens in the most of the set scenes.

7.8/10 = Writing: The story was fantastic, it was slow at first but the pace became better as the episodes went on with more action scenes in the later episodes. The dialogue was very intricate and detailed between the characters. Other than that the story generally had very few inconsistencies though one major flaw I had with the story was when they were doing the time skips alot which ruined alot of momentum and what could have been alot of character development and depth to them also. Nonetheless the relationships between the characters were dynamic and well established as were the characters themselves.

9.3/10 = Visuals: This was an absolute eyecandy of a show. Establishing itself during the original trilogy, alot of the costumes and designs of the world were very simplistic and organic looking. The set designs were fantastic and visually pleasing to look at.

9/10 = Sounds: Wonderfully crafted and gave off a similar vibe to any Star Wars media but unique in its own way.

Its was quite an enjoyable series.

Rewind Worthy?: Maybe Memorability?: By itself as a series, it didn't have a definitive end, so to get the full experience watch Rouge One.
