This movie is halirious. If you find yourself thinking about watching this flick, do yourself a favor and go for it, you will not regret it.
I had not seen this movie in a while and even though I knew the highlights were coming, I found myself still laughing.
And when it came to the funny scenes I had forgotten about -you guessed it- I found myself lauging even harder.
The movie has a few moments that are sort of cheesy, and in my opinion the ending feels sort of rushed, but nonetheless, this movie is aging well, and that is always a good sign that the people who worked on this project not only succeeded in pulling it off, but just might have participated in something special.
Only time will tell, but anyways, go watch the movie, otherwise, Mayo and Choco-laat might have something to say about it.

Tar comes lightly upon the page, and it's not a safe bet, to say the least, and while for some, it may be exactly what the doctor ordered, for many, it will be a journey better left avoided.
I will be honest, I only watched the first act, if there's even such a thing in this film, however, I can tell I needed no more. There's a certain audience that will drink this up like fine wine before a five couse meal, eager and ready for the ride that both engages and provokes, very much like a fine conversation, satisfying a certain palette.
However, for many, it will be more or less what it was for me, a superfluous and pretentious film, taking itself way too serious, and forcing me to work when all I want is to sit back and escape, if only for a couple of hours.
Like I said, for some, it might be what the doctor ordered, stimulating the synopsis and stoking the fires of social commentary.
If however, you want to sit back and escape, it will leave one unsatisfied and rather annoyed at all the unnecessary work that's forced upon the audience, some may call it thought provoking art, I call it lazy self importance.

Well, the headline says it all, I was subtly amused at times, and the movie did a good job of it.
The film is about honesty, creative integrity -I think-, about the fact that being honest with oneself is perhaps one of the most difficult things that anyone can do, to themselves.
The protagonist is lost, hasn't a clue about what it is to be honest about her art, self absorbed and full of it but with the help of the people around her, she learns to grow, and realizes that in the end, we can't all be great, but we can all be true to ourselves.
I believe the movie is worth the watch, it's a fun little ride, and albeit the ending lingers for a couple of beats more than it should, in the end this little piece of work has a lot to say.
So if you're thinking about this one, do it, and enjoy the ride for what it is, and I think you'll also find yourself subtly amused from time to time.
