As someone who's lived through the same era, I grew up-and will probably grow old-with Robbie Williams as a constant presence. Whether you're a fan or not, it was impossible to avoid hearing about him. If I had to sum up his character in a few words: creative, charismatic, cheeky... monkey! (And if you know his songs, there are quite few monkeys in there).
Now, about Better Man-it exceeded all expectations. Fantasy el Emotional, raw, captivating, energetic, and packed with his greatest hits-the ones you probably know by heart. A beautifully crafted tribute that leaves you laughing, crying, and singing along. Hats off to the filmmakers, and a big hug to Robbie himself!

No matter your age, you'll find something to relate to in this movie. At times uncomfortable but never brutal or needlessly raw, it remains deeply emotional and engaging. Though I'm not a parent, the film awakened my protective instincts, making me want to shout, 'No, kids, what are you doing?!'
I appreciated how the male characters are portrayed-respectful and tender-which subtly reflects the director's perspective as a woman.
The apocalyptic-like settings and unconventional, colorful characters may unsettle Lithuanians who take pride in their country's image, but they serve as a striking contrast to the sterile, monotonous world of the modeling school.
Visually stunning with a beautiful soundtrack, this film is a true artistic achievement.

This movie is a nostalgic time machine for older generation, and exotic glimpse to history for the young ones, or foreigners. Of course, the 90's in Lithuania were dangerous, wild and brutal, but this is entertainment piece, not an uncensored documentary. The props are convincing, the actors are very natural, the music brings tears. A mix of VHS aethetics with real archives is very well done and convincing. Only the native speakers will appreciate a fun of the local "dialect" so foreigners will not experience the movie to the fullest. The storyline itself is quite basic, with some fun elements - just a teenager, who tries to figure out life.
