This is a great comedy, with great characters, performances, writing, direction, etc. It's one of my favourites and I've watched it many times. I can't understand all the low ratings it gets. It's vastly underrated.

Ben Stiller is great, and Philip Seymour Hoffman is amazing in it. He's mostly known for dramas, but he proves he could do fantastic comedy as well in this movie. Too bad he's gone.

Even the bit actors/character actors are great in it. There are no bad/unfunny scenes. It's a great story and solid laughs throughout, with a few dramatic/touching moments. Can't think of any way it could be improved, realistically speaking, so I gave it a 10 out of 10.

Alec Baldwin is also hilarious in it. Small role, but extremely funny.

This is a truly impressive movie. Fantastic acting, lighting, camera work, music, everything about it is so well done and so well integrated. Almost every scene is a visual knockout. And the acting from all involved is outstanding. It's a slow burn for sure, but it's a true work of art and is well worth the investment of time and energy for those so inclined. It's not the kind of movie you can multitask during. Treat it like a work of art, it is and watch it fully, even if you have to break it into chunks.

I have to write more stuff apparently, so I guess I'll just say that if you're an action fan or rapid busy plot movies fan, and don't like "art" movies, then this probably isn't for you. 10/10.

This is a fantastic vampire-sexploitation B-movie. One of my all-time favourite movies, and I have many, most of them actual classics. But for me, this movie is in its own genre. Hilarious, hot, earnest, and with so many great-bad performances. A truly unique movie, vastly underrated by ignoramuses and snobs alike.

The innkeeper, Wanda/Mrs. Kronk (Nadia Henkowa), is particularly funny and over-the-top. Her delivery is something to behold. It's probably just my imagination, but I can't help wonder whether Cloris Leachman based her performance in Young Frankenstein on Henkowa's performance here. Leachman probably never even saw this movie, but still...

There are so many (unintentionally) hilarious scenes and dialogue. And hot, yet atypical, babes. And a lovably convoluted plot, low budget, great location... and who doesn't like candles? And bongos for a soundtrack! And shot in a real castle! How anyone can dislike this movie, never mind give it a terrible review and rating, is beyond me. Only the terminally serious could do such a thing. Seriously, get a life. Sprinkle some fertilizer on yourself and grow a sense of humor.
