Only goodness in Ad Astra is the cinematography. The story was horrible, it was slow paced and boring with little action. The trailer is among the most deceiving in the last 15 years.
I liked everything about this movie... the story was great and original.. the characters were all integrated well into the story too.. it had nice blend of emotional scenes and action... Chris Hemsworth gave one of the best performance so far of any of his movies playing Thor.. RDJ did a nice job.. the visuals were excellent... Thanos as a Marvel supervillain was fantastically portrayed by Josh Brolin.. he's fierce, menacing, and relentless... there was so much content in this movie yet it flowed perfectly from scene to scene which is not an easy feat in film making...
This movie was a big blockbuster summer action film that could have been much better... it had the budget, the star power, and the popular theme of zombie apocalypse but under-performed... there has been so many films lately about zombies this one failed to be unique in any memorable way and I feel the audience basically must just like watching zombie attacks because there wasn't much substance here... it was just an epic hide and seek while a man searches for a cure.. no real acting was required... it dragged out a bit too, I felt the editing could have been better maybe? It was missing something...
