  • A total rip off!

The reason why other reviewers were crediting the original concept of this movie is because it was taken directly from the movie "Devil" that came out a month prior to this film in 2010. I'm not sure how the producers of this film weren't sued for blatant plagiarism! Due yourself a favor and just go ahead and watch Devil. But if you are like me and love watching train wrecks of film, then this will not disappoint. Acting is atrocious, special effects are laughable, plot is... well? You end up not even caring because you really could not any care less about what happens to anybody. Does good win? Does evil win? Who the hell cares! Get it for the laughs (or face palms) and please do not ever think that this is an original indie movie. Because it definitely is not an original.

  • Brendan Frazier is amazing

I wasn't really that untested in this movie but since Frazier won the Oscar for Best Actor I thought I'd give it a go. I was a little intrigued because he was George of the Jungle, Airheads, and the Mummy... not really performances that require any deep cerebral powers in preparation. BUT like Matt MaConaughey in True Crime, Frazier surprised me far beyond what I thought he was capable as. Such a dark story about loneliness and loss and beautifully acted out by the entire cast. Sad and funny at times, the human condition can suffer in so many ways mostly all coming back to mental health and how it is a gateway to a host of other issues that come along with it. Frazier deserved the win for this one!

  • Probably one of the best crime docs I've seen.

Stumbling upon this was enthralling. I had never heard of this story before, and I'm a true crime enthusiast. So I sat down and watched without looking the story up (what I would usually do) and was so disturbed by how warped and demented reality can be over any fiction you could come up with. You really at times don't want to accept the depravity and sheer evil that could be right next to any of us in any community. The fact that our system of adoption in this country and the vetting that goes into finally getting an approval along side the fact that the people who were responsible for the wellbeing of this child, from literal cradle to her grave failed her is beyond comprehension. This true crime piece is an uncomfortable yet excellently executed documentary and will probably live in my head for a while. Sadly...
