It's not just another fantasy rom-com. New dynamics of relationship between male and female, fresh camera angle, trendy colors, and ingenious and innovative directing. It's like watching a 80-minute music video with a story. The whole vibe is quirky, adorable, and sweet, and yet 'Rye Lane' does not forget about the romance part, either. The love story between Dom and Yas is relatable and realistic. It is the director's directorial debut, and I'm already excited for her next project.
Cutesy, adorable, unrealistic but relatable. Four main characters are such unique and distinctive characters, yet the chemistry among four is fantastic and genuine. There is so much more to tell, more growth, more relationships, and more stories, but it's ended... without proper ending. I get that season 3 is just good, not great. New characters such as Kacey and Taylor cannot fill Leighton's place because they are not charming and interesting as her and because that sole substitution changes the whole dynamic. Personally, if Lila filled Leighton's spot at the suite, it would have been so much fuller and more colorful.
