Thoroughly enjoyed this, it helps that Justin Hartley is in it, love his acting, so genuine and believable. (Fell in love with him whilst watching the series 'this is us', if you haven't seen it, you must, my favourite series ever!)
A lovely movie to snuggle up to under a blanket with a hot chocolate on a cold winter evening. Be prepared to shed some tears, so have the tissues at the ready.
I only wish the ending could have been longer, but it's not unusual for a film to let the viewer use their imagination as to what happened next, so I didn't mind this.
Just watch it, you won't regret it ;-)

Saw this short movie at the planetarium in Genk, Belgium, together with a group of school children ages 8 & 9 years old. Really enjoyed it. Follows the story of how a manned mission to Mars could be in the future. Stunning visuals and beautiful background music. Seemingly scientifically very accurate also. Kept the kids entertained. A bit slow in parts but kids were still pretty focused throughout. If you want to visit Mars one day, go see this!
Whilst I really enjoyed this movie, my children found the content difficult to comprehend, and naively the storyline took me by surprise. In hindsight I wish I hadn't fallen for the cuddly picture of girl and lion cuddling and the PG rating.
I don't want to spoil the movie for others, so I won't give anything away, just be prepared perhaps for some questions and discussions with your kids afterwards.
Watching the lion grow from cub to adulthood alongside the family is quite amazing to witness and very moving.
As an animal lover this movie has a powerful and very relevant message in today's world, which to be honest, is good that it is brought to people's attention.
