I watched a very long video review from Nerdly on this film the other day, peaked my intertest so I gave it a watch. I get why the reviewer was so excited even though after watching it, I wouldn't fully agree with all he had to say. Aaron Sidwell as the baddie Priest steals every scene he is in but doesn't nick the film. Great ensemble cast, Boss women everywhere in this one. For a blokes action film, this has something for the ladies. I was very surprised and enjoyed it. I have watched films from this team before and when compared against their budgets, they have delivered but not to this scale. This is an improvement.
Visually, the film is a treat. The cinematography enhances the storytelling at every turn. The dialogue is good, with some humour amongst the chaos. It does occasionally falter. While moments of sharp, engaging exchanges exist, some scenes lean too heavily on exposition or feel too on the nose.
It's definitely a solid entry in the action-thriller genre, delivering a mix of action and storytelling. Beautifully shot, solid direction, smashing score and excellent acting Directed with clear passion for the genre, the film balances its intense, grounded action sequences with moments of introspection that hint at deeper emotional undertones. While it doesn't completely reach its potential, Fyre Rises offers enough to satisfy fans of gritty, geezer action.

Fun vampyre hokum that would shine alongside shows like Z-Nation and Blood Drive of the SY-FY channel if the budget was a little bigger.
Loved season 1 ~ looking forward to season 2

Pleasantly surprised by this labor of love and if watched with the crews history in mind ~ plenty of media coverage about the journey taken ~ then you 'll understand that to compare alongside big Hollywood blockbusters is fool hardy and misleading when reviewing it.
This is not a masterpiece by any sense of the word, there are flaws and a weak 3rd act nevertheless it is valiant effort and just a stepping stone to the next, less hampered film from this director.
