Fyre Rises is an indie film that punches above its weight, though it doesn't escape the pitfalls of its budgetary constraints. The story is heartfelt, focusing on themes of redemption, resilience, and loyalty. While these themes resonate, the film often struggles to balance emotional depth with the gritty action that defines it.
The action sequences are intense and well-choreographed, delivering a sense of realism that's missing in many big-budget action flicks. Every fight feels like a struggle for survival, which keeps the tension high. The cinematography amplifies this tension, using urban landscapes and dim lighting to create a foreboding atmosphere. The score complements the visuals, adding an extra layer of intensity to key moments.
However, the pacing is where the film falters. The second act feels overly drawn out, with too much focus on backstory and exposition at the expense of maintaining momentum. Some characters are introduced with great promise but ultimately fail to add significant value to the narrative. The dialogue, while not terrible, often comes across as overly expository, taking away from the otherwise grounded tone of the film.
Despite these issues, Fyre Rises remains a commendable effort. The lead actor delivers a performance that carries the movie, and the raw energy of the action scenes makes it a worthwhile watch. For fans of indie action dramas, this is a film that deserves attention.

I have to say that this was a brilliant film. With the UK the way it is, the law being taken into your own hands seems ever more real than ever. An unforgiving killer against the drug dealing scum of London whilst the police have to work out the reason for it. It is Death Wish with twists and turns you only find on a corkscrew.
Some good humour and references to other films and TV, I personally loved the Simpsons bit, it was a refreshing change from half of the rubbish that is released nowadays.
If you want a good film with a nice little twist, then watch this film.

Always good to see Ray Donovan and never more so than in this true story that inspired the Rocky movies.
Well put together movie with a well time narration throughout, they done a great job with setting this film in the 70's
Nice easy watch and very well filmed I thought the narration worked perfect with what was happening, solid acting and a good choice of cast,
I found the story really interesting even though I know the outcome of the Ali fight I was still cheering Chuck on.
