It's the season 2 finale of Doctor Who, and it's a big one! And also a pretty long one, considering the episode's an hour and 5 minutes long. But is that enough time to resolve everything?
Well, yes and no. The episode is essentially split into two halves. The first half involves dealing with stopping The Rani, which involves her plans to bring Omega out from the Underverse. Then the 2nd half involves dealing with the aftermath of all that, as well as resolving some loose ends.
And all I will say about the 2nd half of this episode is that it genuinely caught me off guard, taking twists and turns that I never saw coming.
That's not to say that this episode is perfect. There are some weird lines and moments within, as well as things feeling a bit rushed. That 1st half also has a feeling of "We gotta wrap this up and resolve everything before the end," as it does go by very fast. But personally, I had a great time watching this episode, and I hope you did, too. I can't wait to see what's in store for Doctor Who next.

As we reach the halfway point of the season, we catch up with Ruby Sunday and see how she's doing without the Doctor.
Speaking of halfway points, there's a twist at the middle of the episode that shifts the whole tone of the episode. In fact, it shifts in a way that makes it feel like 2 separate episodes were put into this singular episode. Honestly, I feel like this story would be split into 2 parts if the episode count of the season was 13, like it was back in 2005.
We also get a bit more introspection into Ruby's character, as she tries to move on with her life. It's pretty interesting to dive deeper into how a companion could deal with life without the Doctor, and the episode does a good job advancing Ruby's character.
Overall, this is a pretty great episode, and I'd highly recommend watching it for yourself as it goes through twists and turns. Let's hope the next episode can keep this momentum going!
