Okay, so first of all one has to wonder why Disney dumped this loser.
To date, the original movie is still the landmark for the Jules Verne Story as it remains the best version made. I understand this is a prequel.
Disney and AMC have made completely unessasary versions the flop on their face. Really bad acting and completely ridiculous character portrayals make it very hard to watch. There are a few actors that pull it off such as Luke Arnold, but the far too many are hollow and unwatchable.
Don't bother wasting your time with this. Viewers are demanding better and more often than not, we get junk.

No spoilers because there is nothing to spoil with this movie. A woman encounters an invisible wall, sealing her off from the world. But no worries, she has this dog to roam the wilds, grow and harvest hay, milk a cow, grow potato patch and talk endlessly on about the wind, sun and rain and her damn dog. She has nothing else to do and we are subjected to this inane story. She quickly gives up on the movie title to do chores. The scenery is beautiful as she is in the Austrian Alps so there is that, but even that gets old fast. She contantly tells us it is just her and her dog, but she also has 2 Cats the come into the house. She carelessly lets one out to be killed by a fox because that is its desting because it was white. I sat thinking what a complete idiot. Cats are so entertaining and you keep them indoors to keep them safe, but not her. I just can't recommend this movie because it is so depressing and slow you want to nod off for a nap. So skip it because it makes no sense at all.
