It's funny isn't it how Mad Men gets lots of fans and seasons because its full of womanising and boom boom shabang, but American Woman, with its quiet poise and depiction of how things were for women in America decades ago, doesn't make the distance. I guess people just don't want to see womens stories from this era unles theyre the wives and play things of powerful men? Mens stories are probably able to grab audiences because it shows men doing what people love to see them doing, womanising, being cut throat in business etc?
Womens stories of this time are relevant too. This story is a story which deserves to be told.
Such a shame this show was cancelled. It was trying to tell an untold story in a sweet way, and now we'll never get to see the characters develop.

After reading all the good reviews, I decided it was time for me to catch up with this old film that so many people rate highly.
Whilst it won't be making it in to my top 10 films of all time, I can see why people like it.
The story flows well, it's quite grissly in places with a couple of twists.
I enjoyed watching it.
