I just can't see it - it's filmed in the complete dark and I've adjusted the settings on my TV but still can't see it. Weird, never seen anything like it - there are often moments in a film that are too dark but this one is all the way through. The black and white bits are just about okay but the 1977 bits are just weird and my eyes can't take it any more so I'm turning it off. Seems like a lovely film and I really want to get to the end but can't. It's just too too dark, until the boys put a torch on of course just now, but but still, all I can see is the torch. Why would anyone want to make a film you can't watch!

Fast-paced, like NY in the 70's, dirty cops with hearts of gold, people you despise but grow to love, there are car chases, bombs, gangs, vice, serial killers, very little glamour, nothing fake (like US TV) - colleagues, family, friends, bereavement, retirement, freemasons, wrong steps, putting the wrong steps right. Oh la la - so much going on and it just keeps on going on, not one slow episode as far as I can remember. I just don't know what I'm going to do when it all ends in a couple of episodes. So sad to be no longer spending my evenings with Gilou, Laure and Josephine.

This was scary. We'd been on the edge of our seats watching this, fully absorbed, when the music started building up during the bank scene. It was all so overpowering that my daughter burst into tears and ran out of the room. This drama takes all the current trends and advances them to show what society might look like if they all progress. I really can't see a future I like after this! We're heading for the past instead.

The sad thing is I nearly didn't watch. As much as I love ET, RT, JH, RK and AR the adverts didn't tell the story. It looked like just another family saga that I wasn't really in the mood for. THANK GOODNESS I was bored one evening and found it on the iPlayer.
