This was boring, predictable and there's only one thing I dislike more than teen-candy pop music and that's being duped into listening to it by producers calling it a horror movie. True spooky movie aficionados save your time. There was a time when I saw M. Night Shyamalan as a beacon in the dark and mysterious genre but he's now barely a flicker. People put Stephen King down for being so prolific, well, I want to know why people don't chastise Mr. Shyamalan for putting out boring plot after boring plot? This isn't to say he hasn't done spectacular work: The Visit is one of my all time favorite horror movies. It's just the Happening, After Earth, Lady in the Water, and now, Trap are so tragically bad that they taint the rest of his body of work.
So I came across this series last year and completely binged the 1st season. Then came season 2 and it started slogging, way too soap opera like for my tastes. But then came season 3 and I think they found a real formula for fans of the original promise of season one. It stays in the land of what evil can be in modern times and builds on the relationships between ALL of the characters. Enjoy!
I saw this movie once while I was in my addiction and once after 16yrs clean, both times hit me in the gut.
