  • Tries to cover too much..

Grotesque (#3.14) fails in its attempt to portray Mulder stumbling down the rabbit-hole of obsession and fear mainly because the episode is given only 45 minutes to do so. Mulder's transformation from level-headed (for Mulder anyways) to covering the walls of his apartment with demonic drawings occurs quicker than comprehension allows, creating an unconvincing situation which may detach the causal viewer. Kurtwood Smith (Robocop) gives a wonderfully slimy performance (as usual) as Agent Patterson. Grotesque is refreshing in the sense that it is one of the few episodes in the series to not be concluded by supernatural or extraterrestrial themes.

  • Simple and easy yet exciting

Mario Tennis is a fine game. With colorful graphics and solid gameplay, this is definitely one of the better Nintendo 64 games.

Veteran gamers might find the single player mode a little too easy, but for younger gamers it should be a blast. The best part of the game is the multiplayer. Up to four people can play simultaneously, in modes such as 2 versus 2. Another great feature is the numerous different courses and challenges. One court, for instance, tilts back and forth depending how you walk on it. There is also over 12 Nintendo characters to chose. From the most popular such as Mario, to old favorites such as Donkey Kong Jr., and to everyone's favorite nemesis, Bowser.

So although its not a Zelda or a Metal Gear Solid, Mario Tennis is still a fine game and is definitely worth a look if you enjoy exciting multiplayer action. Overall Score- 8/10

  • Awful and boring...need I say more?

This movie is horrible. The effects stink for a 1999 movie. The computer-generated lizards are obviously fake and do not look real in any way. The director would have been better off using puppets and robots instead. I guess where this movie goes wrong is in the overall plot. I don't want to reveal too much about the plot in case you would ever consider on watching it (and I strongly advise you not to!)

17 years ago, the komodo youngsters are brought to America and dumped on an island off the East Coast. They are exposed to a radioactive chemical (do I sense the plot of an early 90's childrens' cartoon about chemically mutated reptiles that are exposed to chemicals about seventeen years in the past?) and become ten foot giants that hide in the long grass and eat tourists. Well here's the story in one sentence: People go on island, people get eaten, etc. Predictable and monotonous; you'll say to yourself, "I'll shoot myself in the foot for renting this garbage."

So if you DO rent this movie, you'll soon realize that being on the island and being chased by the giant lizards is a lot more merciful than watching it. Overall Rating: 2/10- Predictable and plain boring.
