Yay! More tired clichés coupled with a very weak (and cheap) storyline. We viewed this as an attempt to discredit stereotypes, but instead it reinforced (and even expanded on) stereotypes in a very painful way. We watched this based on what we previously perceived as quality actors. We'll look at reviews more carefully before viewing future movies starring Loius-Dreyfus and Hill. The script was weak. The scene transitions are bizarre and abrupt. I almost laughed once. It's sad that in 2023, this is the best Hollywood can create to attempt to bring us all together. It actually creates MORE division in my eyes. Definitely a missed opportunity. Pass on this one.
It says a lot that a movie with extreme amounts of action and incredible 3D effects could be so boring. Typical modern day formula of canned storylines and over-the-top ridiculous action scenes. It's the same reason I can't bear to watch the Mission: Impossible movies. Hollywood really needs to get back to being creative. We've seen this type of "entertainment" too many times already.
I was reluctant to view this film at first, based on the lower score. I really liked the strong character interactions between the lead actors. The storyline was good after you get used to the slower pace. Very impressed!
