The movie was fantastic, and Tony Shaloub once again portrayed the character perfectly.
People with his condition rarely ever change, so expecting a happy ending to the series to carry over into this movie would have been unrealistic.
Other reviews stated they did not like it because it did not follow the series final episode. Why would it? Monk is quirky, will always be quirky, and that is what makes him loveable.
I enjoyed seeing the old characters, would have been nice to see his first assistant and their adult children too just for fun.
Otherwise, a perfect movie for everyone who has followed the series. Thanks Peacock for this movie.

It was an entertaining and wonderful movie about friendship and childhood and how adults who behave like children can mess it up. Highly recommend it.
You will laugh, cry, and feel every emotion in between.
Wonderfully entertaining. The acting was great as well, especially the boy who played Hang.
