The Office (2005-2013) is a mockumentary sitcom based on the BBC Series The Office (2001-2003) that literally everyone has been talking about for years since 2005 and have held it as one of the greatest shows in television history. This is a show that took me a while to binge through in its entirety and when I did do it, I took my time with the show and it is just as phenomenal as everyone says it is.
Positives for The Office (2005-2013): The main thing that makes this show works so well for me are the characters and without them, this show wouldn't be as good as it was for 9 seasons. You have our core group of main characters with Steve Carell as Michael Scott, Rainn Wilson as Dwight Schrute, John Krasinski as Jim Halpert, Jenna Fischer as Pam Beesly and B. J. Novak as Ryan Howard. You also have a fantastic supporting cast pr characters played by. Melora Hardin, David Denman, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Angela Kinsey, Oscar Nunez, Phyllis Smith, Ed Helms, Mindy Kaling, Paul Lieberstein, Creed Bratton, Craig Robinson, Ellie Kemper, Zach Woods, Amy Ryan, James Spader, Catherine Tate, Clark Duke and Jake Lacy. It should come as no surprise that the character of Michael Scott is one of the best characters in television history and the thing is that he isn't even a good boss or a good person in general, but I don't care because Steve Carrell is just too damn good and hilarious as this man even he does the dumbest things possible. You also have the romance with John Krasinski as Jim Halpert and Jenna Fischer as Pam Beesly and while they do go back and forward on one another, you know these two are right for each other even when they don't know it themselves. The opening intro to this show is phenomenal and it has one of the best opening intro songs that you can replay as many times as you want because it is that damn good. The humor in this show is most definitely a product of its time and yet it is some of the best humor I've seen in any sitcom in my life and it's a damn shame that a lot of modern audiences are too dumb to realize that because humor is meant to make you feel uncomfortable in a way that will have you laughing your ass off. There are also moments throughout the show that are emotional to watch particularly with the departure of Michael Scott in Season 7. And finally, the series finale in Season 9 is simply perfect in every way possible as it is one of the greatest finales to a show that lands the plane perfectly and it made me sad that my journey with these characters was over, but it made me happy that I binged this show in its entirety.
Mixed for The Office (2005-2013): The humor is not going to work for everyone which sucks because it is actually funny to watch. The show does lose momentum with the departure of Steve Carrell as Michael Scott in Season 7, but Season 8 & 9 did manage to hold the fort without him even with the various flaws in both seasons
Overall, The Office (2005-2013) is a masterclass in comedy on television, it is one of the greatest sitcoms ever made and it is one of my favorite tv shows in the history of television. If you haven't watched this show yet, then you need to get off your ass and watch it on Peacock or wherever you can find it because it is one of those sitcoms that only comes only every generation.

The Sure Thing (1985) is a Christmas romantic comedy road trip movie directed by Rob Reiner. This is a movie that I knew about from a scene in Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020) and I decided that it was time for me to watch this movie. Well I just got done watching the movie and it was awesome.
Positives for The Sure Thing (1985): Similar to hai first movie, I love how Rob Reiner is very smart with his directing here and is able to take a story as simple as this one and it makes more relatable to audiences. It also helps that you two great leading performances by John Cusack as Walter "Gib" Gibson and Daphne Zuniga as Alison Bradbury and while they are the typical versions of their characters, their interactions are the thing that makes them more likable as people. There are a lot of moments where the movie goes for humor and it always works. The road trip side of the story is done very well and is up there with Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) and Get on the Bus (1996) as one of my favorite road trip movies of all time. And finally, I like how the happy ending for Cusack and Zuniga's characters actually feels earned and it forces in by some dumb studio executives.
Overall, The Sure Thing (1985) is a wonderful romantic comedy movie from the 1980's, it is one of the best road trip movies ever made and it is another massive win for Rob Reiner in the early stages of his filmmaking career and that streak is only going to continue from this point forward.

Primitive War (2025) is a science fiction action horror movie based on the 2017 novel of the same name that I heard about weeks ago and I waited to watch it. Well I just got done watching the movie and it was exactly what I thought it was going to be and it was awesome.
Positives for Primitive War (2025): The idea of dinosaurs in the Vietnam War is insane, but it actually works in the context of this story. The acting from the cast is pretty good for the material they are working with. I also liked how these dinosaurs are portrayed as horror movie monsters and they are quite terrifying when it comes to the carnivores. The special effects for the dinosaurs look really goofy, but they work in a B-movie fashion. You get the traditional Vietnam War tropes with the action sequences and the use of music. And finally, this movie is more entertaining to watch as delicious garbage than an actual movie.
Negatives for Primitive War (2025): The only issue I have with this movie is that it is really long and it didn't need to be.
Overall, Primitive War (2025) is one of those movies you need to set your expectations right and you will get what you want from it and that is perfectly good with me.
