I originally gave this show 3 stars after watching the lackluster first season. The first season doesn't feel like it's part of the rest of the show, and yet, I can tell that season is going to have a completely different impact on a rewatch.
If you're struggling to get past the first season like I was, keep pushing til you get about halfway through the second season. That's where it starts to get interesting, and it keeps getting better all the way through the finale. The first season merely sets the stage for the heart of the story.
I finished today, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about the show all day. To think I almost stopped watching it and didn't get to experience it in its entirety.

I don't understand how anyone could watch this episode and say "nothing happened," but that seems to be a common complaint. This episode reveals something that has been a mystery for almost two whole seasons. It changes everything you've seen until now. By about five minutes into the episode they've taken a background-ish character and made you fall in love with her and her story. Not every show could do that so masterfully. If the writing and story don't do it for you, the cinematography certainly will. This episode was directed by a cinematographer, and it shows. My only complaint is that it'll make you cry.
