I grew up reading all the comics about Superman. DC has always had a dark undertone. This movie translates that better than any other comic book movie.
It has truly gotten under hate and criticism. And. I believe it will be better appreciated as time goes by. Snyder did an amazing job of energizing the Superman franchise. It's sad that WB betrayed him the way they did. I believe had he been given the opportunity to continue his vision. It would have been amazing. His justice league movie is amazing as well. Still don't understand why this movie gets so much hate. Truly don't understand. The new Superman movie by Gunn is abhorrent. It is a hodge podge characters and seems as if Gunn can only make guardians of the galaxy movies just different characters. His other movie 300 is still the best comic adaptation of all time. Snyder is not perfect. But. In this movie he hit a home run. Man of Steel is amazing.
