Everything is beautiful in this movie. Venezia, of course, but also the actors, in particular Matilda De Angelis. The director manages to catch that beauty in every scene. The changes in aspect ratio is a very intelligent way to make as feel the difference between the dreams that he is living and the reality that lives in his head. The movie becomes a series of photos that you would like to print and frame. The rhythm is slow, because you need to take your time to taste each scene. Just as the protagonist stars at the "frescos", you're supposed to stare at each frame. In addition, the script is very good and the performances of both main actors are impeccable and natural. It's a joy for all the senses.
Great film to watch with your family. The plot is very good, with a villain that has something else on their mind that just power. The chemistry between the three main characters is great. The script is full of silly jokes that make you laugh out loud more than once. Action scenes are also very well choreographed. It seems like a good change of gears for the MCU. I really hope that we get some more like this in the near future. It's not just a superhero movie, there are some deeper meaning under that comic. It's more about how to open to people you care about, and how that makes you stronger rather than weaker.
I've already watched the first two episodes twice. I didn't read The Silmarillion, so I don't care about the dogmas of the books, I can't love it more. The actress in the role of Galadriel is perfect. I didn't know her work before this, but what a discovery. The picture is amazing. I'm lucky enough to own a projector and to watch Valinor in very screen was a treat for my eyes. In addition, there are lots of great new characters that I'm eager to know better. The story is also thrilling. I would just looked that the episodes would last longer, because I don't want them to finish. I'm summary, give me more of this, please.
