  • slowly and very quietly the tension is built in metaphors

To say it straight away: I am German and try hard to comment on films here, that I like most. So forgive any mistakes please.... this film will give you no slaughter and bloody horror feeling, but something to think about and interpret, mostly shown in metaphoric scenes. The tension builts up and there will be some turn-arounds in your mind while you will try to understand what has happened. So....the story starts with a college professor whose wife has nor returned from work. It is already late at night and he starts to worry and make some calls to find her. He has got no sleep for a long time and his taking pills to get some sleep makes him loose some time periods. He is trying hard to be master of the situation, but sometimes it seems to slip away in dream periods and how could we foresee: just when he needes it not the hell of a lot then a lot of courious things will happen. Like a female student adoring him and trying hard to come near to him. The whole story takes place in the professor's house, watching the growing chaos. Police, friends of his wife, her lover, his affectionate student and so on...all of them ring the doorbell or call on the phone while he is doddering around in his house, trying to ....yes what...is he the commiter or the victim? To conclude: all who won't get a hint STOP here reading!!!!!! ...... but to me all the film remembered me of Edgar Allan Poe's: The Tell-Tale Heart.....

  • really nice humor and really OK time waste for horror fans

Well, i have seen better, i have seen worse... but now i just finished looking it and i nearly smiled all the time for the funny gags. If you liked the humor of other films, where they run around in deepest trouble and discuss the quality of other horror films, then it will fit your sense of humor, too. I won't give a plot summary here, for i am German and i hope, you forgive all faults that might appear. Back to topic: this film is for a TV-Production well done and if you are not the one, who aspects million dollars special-effects, but some that are compared to other zombie films very well done, it will be fun to you. Like i just wrote i just finished the film and during writing this i smile all the time for the gags that pass my mind. Well, like everything, it is a matter of taste *ggg*.....

  • Wow man, I wish, i watched it another night ;o)

At fist: I am from Germany, so sorry for bad mistakes that may happen during writing, I'll do my best (as we say here: if you find some mistakes, you can keep them) ;o) So I am a real fan of this genre and have seen a lot of those kind. But I think with this film are the fans like me happy, that love spooky atmosphere and not only "I-want-to-eat-your-brain" trash fans. Well, I like the other ones too, just mentioned it to set the category of film. Sure, the story could have been improved by some details given more worth and have a feast for the eye (I just say: mechanical...), but summarized I have to say: DON'T watch it like me on a stormy night, raining outside with the door to your balcony open! You will find yourself like me at half of the film closing the door!
