  • In support of the arts

This film is the work of many, and in support of the many artists who came together and shared their talent, I am giving it a thumbs up. It is the first film of an aspiring director, and it was a very big goal to take on. When I first saw the story line it reminded me of Sister Act -the story where Whoopi Goldberg played a nun and coached inner city kids to sing in a nunnery while hiding out from her mobster of a boyfriend. The main difference between the two films is the synergy and the flow of character development. A lot of time was given to the stage show in this film, whereas in Sister Act the stage show is only shown in snippets that highlighted the actual story line and no full songs were seen from beginning to end except a few very key songs to the characters development. Therefore, some may find this transition from story into full fledged stage performance 'jarring' and feel that the film does not flow well. The directors vision was to put a musical within a musical- this will feel strange for many as it is not a flow that many will be used to. There are golden moments all throughout though, and I sincerely hope those are seen and enjoyed.

  • wonderful crew!

I am openly bias about this film- but I want anyone who comes across this to know that my main reason for giving such a high rating is simply because the crew was AMAZING to work with. I'd do it again. And again. And again. The little boy I worked with, Aias Dalman, felt the same way. He actually cried when the filming was done because he had such a good time working on set. It was wonderful! The crew were so thoughtful and professional in how they dealt with each and every scene and each actor within the scene. Grateful to have worked with these people!
