The best scene in the second half is when he tries to convince the doubtful fishermen folk in the colony with an emotional story of his roots. Other than this, the second half falls flat. The conflict point is superficial.

Moreover, the romantic thread on Vijay and Keerthy is awkwardly bad. Keethy Suresh appears as a prop, more than a woman with an identity or character.

Overall, "Sarkar" is a political movie with predictable scenes and decent first half. It may work for Vijay's fans in Tamil Nadu , but for other audiences, it is an average show.

I saw many people giving this movie 10 stars. I think they are producers or the workers who worked on this movie . This movie has all ingredients for bad movie 1 bad acting by all actors 2 bad direction 3 stupid story and screenplay 4 bad music except one song which sung by sonu nigam and comes in second half Don't believe the reviews with 10 star or 9 star This is pathetic movie and don't deserve more than 3 stars for their efforts

I was very disappointed after watching the film .I was very excited for this movie . The story is old ,the villain is looks badass but didn't do justice to the role . Director failed to create a proper masala entertainer even the biggest superstar of country has on his side Rajni was superb also nivetha Thomas who plays his daughter .nayanthara got very less time she did ok considering her short role Rajni on his last enning he should do movies with new young and talented directers . Last 2- 3 directers he worked was a established directors .
