Owen Hendricks shows his marketable acting assets, but his comic timing was not used as well, and too much time was given to the weak ensemble. However the script was much weaker than the first series.
Owen appears to become a hardened CIA operative similar but not as convincing as a Jason Bourne.
The killing off of Max, certainly created a void in the storyline that series 2 couldn't overcome. Max's daughter was a poor substitute, with unbelievable violent scenes driven on by financial creed. Terrible production choice.
Watching series 2 was like watching another entirely different show.
Very disappointed with this series.
Fingers crossed series 3 revitalises the Max and The Rrcruit's fate.

The first two seasons are hilarious filled with polished performances by accomplished Actors. Tight well written script, delivered with authentic comedic chemistry between Alan Arkin & Michael Douglas. A powerhouse performance by Arkin, certainly demonstrated his mastery of delivering comedic lines as well as pathos.
Michael Douglas appears at ease in this drama comedy series too. Cinematography lighting, sound, and set design was first class as it should be for a cast that boasts Oscar winners.
Definitely worth a watch especially if you know these actors from their previous films. Cameo appearances by superstar Morgan Freeman is a delightful director's touch. The series made me cry and laugh out loud. Entertaining from beginning to end!

Main character well defined, good script, different, enjoyable.
