I'm a big fan of the original Top Chef, and in my opinion this show was better than any of the TC seasons. Everything you love about TC is here in this show in abundance. Despite being just kids, the cookery is amazing. I'm genuinely blown away by the talent of these kids and their family members who are not professional chefs either. The food does not go any notches lower. Plus the interpersonal dynamics of the families are very enjoyable to watch. They did a brilliant job casting the contestants, lots of varied and great personalities. I was genuinely rooting for so many people! Marcus Samuelson does a nice job, and although I wasn't sure about Meghan Trainor, she really does end up growing on me. Good challenges, good guests, good execution, and great food and cast. I really enjoyed this season, and I don't think it's getting it's due.
Simply outstanding. Absolutely hilarious, but completely emotional at times without lingering in it. Had me introspective about a lot as well. I think this is his best Netflix special yet.
I'm pretty sure, that most of the negative comments do not actually understand the show, and do not realize that the unapologetic awkwardness is intentional. I haven't laughed so hard in a while. The interviews, sketches, songs are all extremely witty, funny, and also quite intelligent. There's truly no one like Ziwe's persona. Also, the editing is spot on. Looking forward to another season.
