I think the director was trying to put us through the same hell he was trying to portrait to the audience. I don't want to give any spoiler alerts so I won't but I will say this, if you choose to start watching this movie, know it will be really difficult not to finish it due to its historic importance but oh my god, watching it is a slow tourture.
There was everything here to make an epic film, budget, telent, an unbelievable tragedy that could have been told in a way that would shake the world but somehow, this time, MS missed, big time, from the music, till the every other little detail and maybe that was the purpose but if it was, I really didnt get it.
I can't say it was a waste of time as it was indeed an important story to tell the world but it could have been done in a 120 min thrilling documentary on Netflix, and much much much more to the point and better.

I have no idea how I missed this show for so long but i'm stoked that i came across it and have got only great things to say. This show was made in totaly diffrent times and is so relevent still.
If you missed it, if you are interested in true art, if you share my undeniably ridiculous passion for good cinema, watch this. Especially season 1-3 but damn, the ending.
I know I'm probably being overly dramatic but it feels to me that a lot of what has been done in TV and Movies on later years, is almost entirely based on the work and characters made in this show.
The show was just done incredibly well and what can I add, hats off to the creators and the actors.

But... If the only thing I was thinking up until now, is to go to IMDB and share how stupid this movie is, you can guess what I'm going to write here.
Yes, it might get better in 10 minutes but it's more likely that it won't even with 1000 minutes left. I have no idea why this huge star would take such a stupid B list choice while his career is so magnificent with A list movies and acting abilities not many have. This is Inception/Matrix AliExpress version and this is no spoiler because I still have no idea what or why I'm watching this.
I guess I'll finish it now but boy oh boy, there really isn't a good reason to do so other than my ADHD which compels me to finish or maybe I got hypnotic....
