I can't understand the low ratings for this series. The way Flanagan interweaves Poe's stories and poetry is so well done and natural. The writing is phenomenal, the acting is on point, and as a lifelong lover of his work, I think Poe would approve. It's not what I expected but more!
Each episode is themed on one of Poe's works, but not as would be expected: they give new life to his work. I loved the frequent literary Easter eggs, especially the obvious one from The Great Gatsby, a personal favorite of mine.
I agree with another reviewer who pointed out the homage to Poe. The series could easily have become a cliche of Poe's work. But here it's well done out of live of Poe.

This is yet another example of how a catfish has no real repercussions for their actions. I feel so much empathy for Manti Te'O. It's almost impossible to understand what it's like to be catfished and it's always those of who have been there that end up with all the repercussions. That catfish just went on with life but cost Manti so much.
