I am absolutely appalled, yet not surprised, that Oprah felt it was appropriate to invite an audience of child sexual abuse survivors onto this show, causing them to experience secondary victimisation, as two men appropriate their trauma for financial compensation and notoriety.
Customarily, responsible journalists conduct research - ensuring that viewers are given a full account of all credible evidence about the allegations being discussed. However, After Neverland chose to dismiss ethics and fairness by showcasing only the two accusers and the Director of Leaving Neverland, Dan Reed - excluding any other guest who could have challenged the allegations. Oprah did not even interview the legal team who have been representing Michael Jackson's entities for 7 years of litigation against the two Leaving Neverland accusers. Had Oprah interviewed anyone representing Michael Jackson's interests - then more people would be aware that the accusers perjured themselves countless times in their continued effort to obtain hundreds of millions of dollars from the Estate of Michael Jackson. Viewers would also be aware of the number of proven false claims, contradictions and the complete disregard that the accusers have for the purpose and power of the courts.
When allegations are raised - the only route to the truth is by learning the facts of the case - requiring equal consideration for both parties. The court documents and all the evidence, statements and depositions contained therein, prove that the allegations are demonstrably, some provably false. After Neverland is not journalism - it is sensationalism. Oprah is wholly complicit in this dangerous erasure of ethical and factual journalism.

The media has systematically and robustly orchestrated a narrative around Michael Jackson that is directly rebutted by primary evidence. Michael Jackson is a case study for analysing the "free press" and whether a powerful industry like the media should be free and unaccountable for knowingly publishing false information to millions of people around the world.
This documentary brings court documents and evidence to life in a way that I have never seen before. The documentary is also a product of the "free press" who have been free to leave this evidence gathering dust for decades. I hope people watch this with an open mind and begin to understand that they are being lied to by an industry that shapes our views, values and society.
