The Metro Manila Film Festival was really intended to be a festival of films that will showcase the films of our country to the world. But ever since the MMFF changed their criteria that focuses more on commercial appeal, things changed.
The film's storyline is really not MMFF-worthy. The casting was quite awful; some of their actors do not act well. The jokes are corny, unlike Vice Ganda's previous films from 2010-2015. The poster seems to be messy. The production ang costume design seems to be fine as well as the musical score.
Vice Ganda should also challenge himself to try making a film that would focus more on awards and not on box office.
I don't really recommend this film.

I watched this film last night because of the lead actors: Diether Ocampo, Claudine Barretto, and the late Rico Yan. Another reason for watching is its director, the late Wenn V. Deramas.
The film's direction was fine, knowing that this was the film directorial debut of Direk Wenn. The actors were also fine, but there were still some actors who act awkwardly.
The concept and plot was good. It gave us a message not to judge someone without knowing both sides of and to accept the past of the person you love.
One of the things I don't like about this film is that it is too "mainstream". There are some lines that are too "cheesy". But you know, that is the norm for Filipino movies in the 90s.
The cinematography, production design, and musical score were fine and acceptable.
Recommended. :)

The storyline was interesting. It is also a new thing in the Philippine cinema to have a dog-related film. If I don't get wrong, this is the first Filipino film of its kind.
The cast was a powerful one. A good choice of actors.
The cinematography, musical score, production design, screenplay, and of course, the direction were brilliant.
Also, seeing Sarah Geronimo portraying a character with mental illness amazed me. She executed it excellently.
The film tackled 4 main things: animal welfare, mental illness awareness, respect to the senior citizens, and family.
The directors of the film, Perci Intalan and Jun Lana, are intelligent to come up with this film.
For me, I consider this film as one of 2019's best Filipino films.
