A complete surprise. Very well acted, with unsurpassed cinematography which was excellent.
Okay, let's break this series down:
PD staging and ultimately entering a home where Armed Officers take an elementary student into custody for murder. While this is common place in the Divided States of America, this is uncommon in the UK.
The entire arrest, transportation to the PD along with all the other boring stuff, is captured on a single take.
The actors were all-in on ducking down for the Steady-Cam operator. The sound boom and PA were cleverly hidden. The results were of "1917" without the trench warfare. Bottom line-Excellent Work!!!

Man, I was really excited to see this series. I'm a big fan of the novel, and I was convinced this was going to be a solid production. Then it came time to watch. Okay...okay, the first episode was slow, but that's to be expected. The 2nd episode dropped and so did my attention span. "Come on, man," I told myself...lots of shows have a hiccup during their first season.
By the time I watched episode 4, I forgot about Nikolai Coster-Waldau's character and actually thought maybe he quit the show? "No you fool," I said to myself. The book had his character gone. But why was I not feeling it? I'm still not sure. I'll hang with it, but I'm not happy!
