Absolutely hilarious, sharp, witty and at times poignant comedy series based in Middlesbrough. Smoggie Queens is well worth watching and as a proud gay Smoggie love that it's putting Middlesbrough and LGBTQ+ community on the map in a positive way. Totally recommend it and hoping there's going to be a 2nd series. And a WOW factor added to it is seeing Michelle Visage having a great part in Smoggie Queens (see if you can spot her). I thoroughly enjoyed watching the whole series on BBC iPlayer laughing, being supportive, loving it. It makes a fabulous change of seeing Middlesbrough being portrayed in a more positive way because that's the experience I have always been proud of myself coming from Middlesbrough, even though not perfect but is mainly a great inclusive town (should be a city by now). Smoggie Queens is fantastic.
A wonderful captivating 1st series and now the 2nd series is by far brilliant. For us as members of the LGBTQ+ community, me and my Husband are enjoying watching this historical LGBTQ+ drama that's based on factual lives from the diaries of Anne Lister, of her life and living as a couple with Ann Walker in the early 19th Century. They were truly leading trailblazers for our community who feared nothing.
A more gripping, darker, earthier (excuse the pun) series which I think makes this absolutely brilliant. Twist and turns, keeping you guessing, holding your breath while waiting impatiently for the next episode to watch so to find out what's happening. Love it!
