Screenwriter Paul Gordon was born on May 19, 1968, the third of four boys. He is the son of Robert, a managing general insurance agent, and Victoria, an employee benefits expert. He grew up in Aurora, Colorado. Although he wanted to travel for college and law school, he ended up attending the University of Denver on a full scholarship and the University of Colorado School of Law, where he received the faculty's highest award for a student's scholarly writing. Paul's career in screenwriting began after 25 years as a lead trial attorney specializing in legal malpractice and major personal injury litigation. He started screenwriting as a hobby. Paul's first script, THE PROVEN KILLERS ARE STILL FREE, received numerous film festival awards. His second script, IN THE RING WITH GIANTS, was also well received.
