Pretty annoying movie with the non stop devouring of food and full mouths. Especially from the brown actress in dress with short sleeves. Who even has 15 meal courses on one supper? I cant believe it got so high scores. 8??? It is not realistic score. A boring movie even I tried hardly to like it...
I adored this movie. So simple, gentle and romantic. Although, it is a tv movie, the plot is interesting. I could not stop watch it, although I had other obligations at time. It reminded me to the beauty in life. Beautiful nature, Terri Hatcher is a great actress, so funny, she has great vibe and she looks like a great person someone to be with her. So simple, nice, funny, beautiful and these guys to be very happy they have her in life. James Tupper looks fantastic. Like he is 40 years old and not 55, 56... I usually do not prefer movies like this, actors are bad and pretty much not believable, plot is recycled, but not in this case. This movie is in some way special and it celebrates true love and happiness and that it can happen in any ages in life. I do not know why all these harsh critics around. It is not a masterpiece, but very good in its genre definitely.
This is in many ways artistic movie even it was settled in the middle of War. Beauty of nature that surrounds protagonists is inspiring. Movie is full of beauty, classical music and young people who makes unforgettable memories. Young Marek misses his mother and father who have distant relationship with him. They are coming and going and he needs to grow up alone, with a few of his friends who are the same age. I guess, children in the beggining of the past century were much more mature then today's and they needed to grow up very soon because of the Second World war. That happenned to young Marek also. He acted like an adult man, very concerned for his country and family. Beautiful film.
