Lily Trevino's life keeps coming down really heavily on her, mostly in the form of her utterly absurd joke of a father, whose behavior is downright disgusting. Yet, Lily's self-esteem is so low that she is the one who feels guilty and puts up with her dad's being a jerk. With all that family situation as a background, she barely scrapes a living, but carries on, and does so with a light heart. However, she feels lonely, forgotten and unloved so she, out of desperation, finds herself a new father. Or does she?
This is a very light-hearted yet deep and very down-to-earth comedy with a wonderful script and great acting. An enjoyable family watch! I totally recommend.

Jaded, close to the end of their rope and far from being at their best of health, Ray and Moth are embarking on a coastal hike to Land's End in England, as a desperate attempt to confront the gruelling circumstances of the stark reality of their new life without a home. They clamber the stunning-looking cliffs, limp across the secluded fields and beaches, with a slender hope of getting out of their new abject misery they unwittingly fell into. Yet they soldier on, and so do we when we watch them walk.
The Salt Path is a highly inspirational film offering to show the opportunity to see a new lease of life, based on a true story of these wonderful people who make a choice to persevere and keep living. Amazing acting by James Isaacs and Gillian Anderson; clever script, superb photography and beautiful music score by Chris Roe. Bravo!

The film is based on a story by Stephen King, which makes it mysterious and intriguing. The film is diving into three equal parts, in the first one you will find it hard to discern who the heck Chuck is, but everything will fall into place. And out of place. And into place back again. I found the movie really thrilling and thought-provoking, I have no idea how loosely it is based on the original story but the script is great, and the acting is fantastic. It leaves a positive aftertaste and I think I'll watch it again soon.
