I delayed watching this, I expected another Luvvie fest that we usually get with this title; Bill Nighy was the reason I eventually viewed it. What an excellent surprise - it's snappy, it's bright and amusing with a perfect cast and Bill Nighy stole the show with about 6 lines in total. I understand this is a first feature for the director Autumn de Wilde; hope there is more in the pipeline. The styling was stunning. Good job by all involved
It takes skill to produce an engrossing film where not much happens (La Separation for instance), sadly not the case in this instance. I watched this because of Gregory Fitoussi and his great work on Spiral and Spin. I can only conclude he worked on this film for a dare or to repay a debt.
Came across this on Now TV having discarded most of the 'highlights' as being completely boring. What an entertaining movie - all the names that used to be on Spitting Image in the 80s like the spokesperson Larry Speaks. Loved it and highly recommend it. A good comedy drama; reminded me of Barbarians at the Gate.
