I personally can't understand why this movie is being hated by so many...
Nelson wanted to make something different (not really unique) but still something beside the usual Tamil action masala movies.
The dark humor in this movie probably could have been better executed especially in a hostage situation type movie.
Also it should have been much shorter! (I know 2.5hr are sort of standard in Indian cinema but it still felt like sometimes very dragging)
Finally the biggest mistake was NOT utilizing Shine Tom Chako!! He would have been MUCH better as a hidden/mastermind villain at the end. Instead he was literally a plot device.
(Nonetheless still MUCH BETTER than Vijay's movies pre Master era)

The Tamil version shamelessly copied from the movie Memento, and Bollywood remade it again. Christopher Nolan should sue the f@#! Out of them!
