I love what the Daily Wire is trying to do and I loved "What is a Woman?", but this movie is bad. Every stereotypical situation from every western is used here. Revenge, sins coming back to haunt, extremely terrible and unrealistic shooting, unnecessary plot twists to exploit extreme violence. Did Gina Carano even say more than 25 words the entire movie? Nick Searcy was outstanding in his performance, but everyone else was blah. Three of the four movies put out by DW have the same theme and tone. Guns are good, women are strong, bad guys get it in the end. I love all of those things but hope for some better creativity in future attempts by DW.
Look, I like a lot of dystopian serials. However, this put me over the edge from the first episode. It's a pretty cool idea to think that a virus could wipe out most of the population and blind all survivors for generations, but if that's the direction you're going, then make it just a little more believable. The first fighting scene was laughable...the "good guys" knew exactly where to swing and who to swing at - no mistakes at all. I get that other senses are heightened when you lose one, but they should have just given everyone The Force so I can at least believe a little. And you're telling me that they have to have guide ropes all over their village but they can magically navigate the forest without anything? Come on! The trailers made this look promising, but being able to make this an action show while everyone is supposed to be blind is just a little over the top for me.
