I remember in the Clone Wars one of my favourite arcs is about banking conspiracies, so the fact that I'm enjoying conspiracies about pensions in this show isn't that surprising.
I love that we're getting an answer on what happened to the clones. I feel like large parts of the Bad Batch are formulaic and don't fully explore the era they are in, instead feeling like generic Star Wars. Then there are episodes like this, and the crosshairs one earlier in the season that are all about the vibes of the time it takes place in. Darker, grittier, following up on characters we haven't seen since the Clone Wars and seeing their reactions to the Empire.
While I would prefer all the episodes t be like this, I get that the Bad Batch is supposed to get kids involved in Star Wars and will usually stick to it's low tension adventures. That said I would eat up an entire tv show of stuff like this.

I'm not going to pretend this is a perfect film, but it was a lot of fun. I saw this with the IMAX event and it was completely packed. I know reactions have been mixed-negative but the entire audience was super into this. I think it has the best musical score of the year so far, beating out The Batman.
The overall excellent sound design is held back by a couple exaggerated sound effects. Likewise the writing has lots of great stuff in it but is held back by plenty of weird choices and unnecessary lines of dialogue.
The performances were also overall really strong. Florence Pugh was sensational and Chris Pine was so charismatic. The entire supporting cast is great, especially Gemma Chan. There has been a lot of talk about Harry Styles being terrible, I don't think he is, I just think he is completely overshadowed by Pugh and Pine who he is on screen with all the time.
The twist worked for me, but the ending felt a little sudden. Overall it was carried hard by Pugh, Pine and the absolutely incredible score, but they were so good that I can't help but enjoy this movie despite it's obvious flaws.

This was unexpected. I found this movie to be really funny and really dark at the same time. I left the theatre feeling kind of empty but with my mind racing. Vengeance is about a man learning he's a terrible person and it really doesn't shy away from that by the end of the film.
I can't stop thinking about how incredibly tightly written this dark comedy is. Every interaction has meaning thematically and to the story. From the very beginning every word means something. Yet it's hilarious until it isn't.
