I had the pleasure of seeing this film screening at the Kansas International Film Festival. The artistry and execution of each frame is well worth a watch. The story touched my heart and has stayed with me. I love films that I continue to think about and this is one.
This series has some of the best shots of Kansas City and surrounding areas I have ever seen. I was not sure what to expect after the first couple of episodes but the characters and story grab you by the 3rd installment. I thoroughly enjoyed it to the end.
This is a story about a woman going on a journey back home late in her life to visit an old friend. The characters are those I can relate to in my life. The Tree gives you a taste of real people in a real town that feels like home. I want to watch this again with my grandmother and share it with friends and family.
