You know what I can't stand to sit through and endure? Ppl who hate found footage movies but still find it necessary to not only watch them but post their stupid, inherently biased reviews that skew the movies rating for the rest of us who genuinely want to know if it's good or not. It's hard to get an accurate rating when idiots who obviously hate the genre anyway and are automatically prone to give it a terrible rating. We get it you hate found footage. Good for you. Your reviews are just annoying to the rest of us. Why would you watch a genre you hate? I can't stand musicals but you wouldn't catch me wasting 2 hrs of my life watching Hairspray. Let alone leaving a review on it. Probably because I am not a loser. If you haven't actually watched and are just being a hater and going out of your way to leave a bad review than congrats, you are an even bigger loser.
Btw this movie wasn't half bad. It is a little confused, little conflicted on what it wants to be. The acting is ok but there are some genuinely scary scenes which is the most important aspect of a horror movie. While it isn't the piano and isn't winning any academy awards I didn't have high expectations and the movie delivered where it needed to. I don't want to give anything away so watch it for yourself. Unless you hate found footage. Then you obviously won't like this FOUND FOOTAGE MOVIE!!!

I've never been a huge Jake Gyllenhaal fan. But like "Son in Law" with Pauly Shore I realized that he was truly perfect for this role and it couldn't have been played by anyone else.
Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena have chemistry for days. Supporting roles are on point. It's well written, well acted, well paced and I know people will complain about the"shaky cam" aspect but the body cam footage is what gives the movie such an authentic feel. The two leads even rode around with the LAPD for months to prepare for the role.
The best part about this movie is the humanization of the two cops. It's a window into their world. Even after patrolling some of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country they have private lives just like the rest of us. My favorite parts of the movie aren't the action scenes but just the moments of the two partners riding in the squad car. Talking about life, ripping on each other, telling stories and cracking jokes. I think that's what the movie was truly supposed to be about. Moments between two partners that are more like two brothers.
The bond the two guys have, the events happening in their everyday lives all builds to climax in a truly emotional ending.
I can't imagine anyone watching this movie and hating it. It's a fantastic piece of cinema.

Suicide Squad is the epitome of don't judge a book by its cover. It has a Sharknado or Snakes on a Plane kind of look. The kind of movie that look so utterly terrible you have to watch it. Imagine my surprise 10 minutes into the movie I was absolutely hooked. This multiple genre behemoth ticks all the right boxes. A dark comedy, action thriller that is well paced, well acted and surprisingly well written. If you are looking for a deep character driven Oscar film look elsewhere. Joker this is not. But it never tried to be. If you want superbly timed action sequences, good special effects, excessive gore, a lot of laughs and ridiculously over the top characters that actually blend well together than give this a shot. If you asked me if a super hero movie with a polka dot man and a shark that looks like something out of Moana's nightmares would be good I would laugh in your face. And I would be wrong.
