He's always been an incredible actor, but the way he comes across when he says certain things, I think he took some of his emotions from his recent experiences. I think the reason that he parties so hard and the reason he picked Amber were both for the same reason as his character -- he was taking as much as he felt that he could of life, the way he sees it. Personally, I hope he can calm down some so it won't affect his health, but if not, I think he'll be okay, because he's experienced so much in this life.

We're truly missing out on the old talent of the Harlem Renaissance; thank goodness this is so available. It has a charm you won't find today. If you like this film, I implore you to seek out on YouTube "102 y/o sees herself on film for the first time." It will encourage you to look up everything you can get your hands on!
